Jindal Announces Over $8 Million Raised
BATON ROUGE - Bobby Jindal today announced raising a total of more than $8 million to date in his campaign for governor.
"Last week, I called on Louisianians everywhere to join me in declaring war on the out-of-control spending, government incompetence and corruption that has held our state back for too long. My campaign to bring Louisiana a fresh start is gaining more supporters every day, and I am honored by the personal investment so many have made in this once-in-a-lifetime chance to take our state back," Jindal said.
In official campaign fundraising totals filed today, the Jindal campaign reports more than $2.69 million raised during the second reporting period in 2007, an increase over the campaign’s previous report total in April. Jindal has received more than 14,300 contributions from Louisiana contributors to date, accounting for more than 90 percent of all campaign contributions.
