Governor-Elect Bobby Jindal Announces Transition Team Members
BATON ROUGE – Today, Governor-Elect Bobby Jindal announced transition team members in addition to Rolfe McCollister, Bobby Jindal Transition Team Chairman, who was announced yesterday.
Timmy Teepell will serve as the Jindal Transition Team Director and as Chief of Staff in the Governor’s Office. Teepell formerly served as the campaign manager for Jindal’s successful 2007 governor’s race. He has also served as Jindal’s chief of staff in Jindal’s Congressional office in Washington, D.C. from 2005 to 2007. Teepell was born and raised in Baton Rouge, and has a wife, Sarah, and six children.
Stephen Waguespack will serve as the Jindal Transition Team Deputy Director, and as Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy in the Governor’s Office. Waguespack formerly served as Bobby Jindal’s policy director on the 2007 gubernatorial campaign. He has previously worked as a consultant for The Alpine Group in Washington, D.C., and as a legislative aide to U.S. Congressman Joe Barton. Waguespack was born and raised in Gonzales, and has a wife, Colleen, and three children. Waguespack is also a member of the Louisiana Bar.
Melissa Sellers will serve as the Jindal Transition Team Press Secretary. Sellers formerly served as Bobby Jindal’s communications director on the 2007 gubernatorial campaign. She has previously served as press secretary for Michael Steele’s campaign for U.S. Senate in 2006 and before that was press secretary for former U.S. Congressman Jim Nussle. Sellers grew up in Lafayette, LA.
