Governor-Elect Jindal Announces Economic Growth Transition Advisory Council’s Members and Dates
BATON ROUGE – Today, Governor-Elect Bobby Jindal announced the members of the Economic Growth Transition Advisory Council’s Workforce, Natural Resources and Environment Groups. Jindal also announced that the Workforce Group will hold a public hearing on December 6th at the University of New Orleans’s Lindy C. Boggs Conference Center on 2045 Lakeshore Drive in New Orleans at 2:30 PM; the Natural Resources Group will hold a public hearing on December 13th at the Blues Room of the Cajundome Convention Center in Lafayette at 1 PM; and the Environment Group will hold a public hearing on December 13th at Kirby Smith Hall on LSU Campus in Baton Rouge.
The Economic Growth Transition Advisory Council has seven groups of focus, including Business Retention and Recruitment, Environment, Higher Education, Natural Resources, Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Transportation, and Workforce. Each of the seven groups within the Economic Growth Transition Advisory Council will conduct public hearings to collect testimony and make recommendations on the specific issues related to their area of focus.
