A new direction

According to U.S. Rep. Bobby Jindal, an announced candidate for Louisiana governor, insurance companies have been allowed for the past 50 years to get away with setting prices as a group, and that is about to stop. "If they are not doing it then it won't matter to them," he said. But insurance companies should have to compete and the way the law is now written, they can legally get together and set prices, Jindal said.
